Peru LGBTQ Flag Map
Same sex relations in Peru have been decriminalised since 1991 and the country is home to two of the most LGBTQ friendly cities in South America, namely Lima and Cusco. While same-sex activity has been legalised and disclination against LGBTQ people banned, it is still a broadly conservative Catholic country, and same sex marriage is not recognised.

Peru is well known for its friendly population and LGBTQ visitors should not be discouraged from visiting, however we recommend practicing discretion when out and about.
