Attitudes in Ireland towards lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people are regarded as among the most liberal in the world. Same sex relations were decriminalised in 1993, and same sex marriage was legalised in 2015.

The country is recognised for its progressive transformation from conservative attitudes towards one of liberal acceptance. LGBTQ travel in Ireland is generally problem free and with more and more gay events, businesses and spaces opening up, it is only a matter of time before the capital city Dublin becomes one of the most gay friendly cities in Europe.
