Chobe Game Lodge elephants

Day 1 - 3 – Chobe National Park

On arrival in the northern town of Kasane, you will be transferred into the Chobe National Park and the wonderful Chobe Game Lodge. Perfectly positioned along the banks of the Chobe River, this is the only lodge in Botswana that boasts an all-female guiding team, using solar-powered game drive vehicles and boats.

Each room overlooks the gardens and the Chobe River beyond. Various viewing decks, private books and a lovely pool are available to enjoy.

Day 3 - 6 – Savuti in Chobe

Fly from Kasane to the Savuti airstrip and transfer by road to Savute Safari Lodge for 3 nights. 

Overlooking a prolific waterhole, this is the ideal place to explore this part of the Chobe National Park with its outstanding game viewing.

The chalets are elegant and enhance the natural surroundings. The shaded viewing deck and pool area overlook the waterhole and surrounding bush.

Day 6 - 9 – Moremi National Park

Camp Moremi set in a picturesque part of the Okavango Delta in the Moremi National Park. Explore this game rich area with game drives and boat cruises through the Xakanaxa Lagoon and waterways of the Okavango Delta.

The rare Pel’s Fishing Owl can be found here, along with a plethora of other birds, including a unique heronry.

Each spacious safari tent has a private deck that overlooks the Moremi.

Day 9 - 11 – Okavango Delta

Arguably one of the most beautiful spots in the Okavango Delta, 

Xugana Island Lodge is located on permanent water in the Okavango Delta in raised reed and thatch chalets, overlooking the surrounding lagoon. 

Offering mokoro (canoe) trips and motorised boating all year round, Xugana is an oasis of tranquillity. Game drives are available at Xugana, however, the focus is on an Okavango Delta water paradise experience.

LGBTQ in Botswana

Botswana decriminalised homosexual activity in 2019 in what was considered a major victory for the LGBTQ movement for the country. Public opinion remains mixed on the acceptance of gay marriage and same-sex relations, however, all lodges and resorts ensure that all LGBTQ feel welcomed, respected and accepted and there should be no issues when travelling to Botswana.
