While same-sex relations are still legally not recognised in Namibia, socially accepted norms make Namibia a safe travel destination for LGBTQ couples and individuals. Namibians by nature are generally conservative, and although LGBTQ is widely accepted, in general, all public displays of affection, of any sexual orientation, are much rarer in Namibia than in most Western countries. Namibians are naturally quite private and reserved, and visitors are advised to follow suit, respectfully.
